Notes:
Ematiha SS is located 30 minutes north from Kakamega Town just off the C41 Kakamega Bungoma Road. Situated in the Lurambi costituency in Butsotso North, Ematiha SS is part of the Kakamega distict in the Western province of Kenya. The campus itself is beautiful, open and spacious. The land is broken up by huge boulders left in a previous geological upheaval.
Ematiha SS is a relatively new school; however there are few facilities. The kitchen and water source are borrowed from the adjoining Ematiha PS. Resource needs include classrooms, a library and computer lab. Ematiha does not have a dining hall, staff room or library. Students are very curious about Canada and their questions revolve around snow in the winter, religion and opportunities for education.
