GREETINGS AND APPRECIATION

FROM CES KENYA PATRON MALIK KHAEMBA

ON THE OCCASION OF THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF CES CANADA

On this auspicious occasion of the 5th Anniversary Celebration of CES – Canada, CES – Kenya wishes to send special greetings and appreciation to all CES – Canada Board Members, CES – Canada President, Kenyans resident in Canada who are key supporters of CES, all well-wishers who have supported CES in various ways and lastly, the Government of Canada for providing a conducive environment and encouragement for CES operations including fundraising activities.

As we all celebrate this important occasion, let us look back at the humble beginning of CES. CES started as a big dream in the year 2004 and like all big dreams it became a reality in the year 2005. It all started by the current CES – Canada President making a trip all the way to Kakamega in Western Kenya in 2004. In Kakamega he met with the current officials of CES – Kenya Board including the current Chairman and as a group, they charted the way forward. On his return to Canada after two weeks stay in Kenya, the dream was actualized and at the beginning of the year 2005 12 (twelve) students were in class.

On behalf of CES – Kenya Board members and the entire CES Community in Kakamega, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the entire CES – Canada Board members and all those who have supported the activities of CES and to assure all those present at this gathering that we value your support and encouragement.

Thank you and may “Allah” bless you all.
