Notes:

Samitsi SS is located in Malava  District approximately one hours drive from Kakamega.  It is close to the Malava Forest and the Village of Malava.  It is a rural school with 30% of students boarding.  This has been an advantage for some CES students who have no place to live or who require added care and attention.

Samitsi SS is an older school with many classrooms in some disrepair.  There are no funds to upgrade a school in this area of Kenya.  Samitsi SS has a larger than average land area that could be utilized to a greater extent for sports and other activities.
