Notes:

St. Mary Goretti Shikoti SS for Girls is located in Lurambi District approximately thirty minutes drive from Kakamega.  It is just off the C-41 road to Bungoma.  There is a sister Primary school located next door.  A convent and church facility is shared between the two schools.  The grounds are beautifully kept and the girls take much pride in their school.  Shikoti Girls school is starting a project to build a chicken coop where chickens and hens will provide food for the school community.  Of importance to the school is the fact that St. Joseph’s dispensary is located next to the school.  This facility has been helpful when CES students have required first aid and medical care.

Shikoti Girls School maintains a full academic program.  In 2001 French was introduced as an option for secondary school study.

St. Mary Goretti Shikoti SS for Girls has ten students sponsored through the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board in Ontario Canada.  Summer School students have sponsored Shikoti Girls School for the past three years through their generous donations and heart for their Kenyan peers. They responded to an appeal to support students orphaned by the HIV/Aids pandemic.
