Christine Injendi, our first Masters graduate!

September 2025

This exciting event took place at Embu University grounds. I had the privilege of attending and witnessed the colourful occasion where one of our very own was graduating with a Master of Science in Biology of Conservation.

The event was graced by various vice chancellors from various universities, government dignitaries, university alumni, secondary students from within Embu who came to witness the great event, parents and guardians and the grandaunts of the day from various faculties.

The event kicked off at 8:00 AM, with a prayer followed by entertainment and speeches, Finally it was time to confer the degrees to the grandaunts, our very own Christine Robai Injendi (known as Christine Robby on social media) being one of them. Congratulations to Christine for achieving this milestone in her life.

Christine’s note of appreciation to CES

Dear CES Kenya/Canada Team,

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous sponsorship, which enabled me to pursue and successfully complete my Master’s Degree in Biology of Conservation at the University of Embu. Through your support, I was able to dedicate myself fully to my studies and achieve this significant milestone — graduated on September 12, 2025.

Your belief in my potential and your commitment to empowering students through education have made a profound difference in my life. This accomplishment is not mine alone; it reflects your kindness, encouragement, and continued investment in building a better future for others.

Christine Robby, resplendent in her graduation gown, proudly holds her diploma. Having a physical diploma is very important in Kenya – employers will demand it, and may reject job applicants who can’t produce a genuine diploma indicating that they graduated.

As I move forward in my career, I carry with me the inspiration and values that CES Kenya/Canada embodies. I am deeply thankful for your support and hope to honor it by contributing positively to conservation efforts and by helping others, just as you have helped me.

With sincere appreciation,

 Christine Robai Injendi
